April 14, 2010. Larry King filed divorce on Wednesday, as his 7th wife was all ready to end up their 13 years old marriage.
The 76 years old ‘Larry King Live’ host filed divorce hours before Shawn King filed a separation petition to end the relationship. Both of them have cited ‘irreconcilable differences’.
The coupled married in 1997 in a hospital room, 3 days before Larry went through a surgery for clearing his clogged blood vessel.
The couple has 2 sons: aged 9 and 11 respectively. The difference between the two petitions is that that Larry has asked for joint custody, while Shawn seeks physical custody.
Larry King has also asked the judge not to give any spousal support to his wife and nullify any agreements in which he had transferred any of his property to her.
Contrary to that, Shawn asks for spousal support from Larry, in addition to ownership of their home in Beverly Hills, California, and 2 properties in Utah.
The spokesman for Larry, Howard Rubenstein, said that Larry’s major concern is his children’s welfare and that he no more wants to comment on their divorce.
The interview and new show of Larry King, broadcasted on CNN, is on air for around 25 years now and he has 3 more children from his past relationships.
