John Travolta And Kelly Preston’s Family Growing

Super couple John Travolta and Kelly Preston are expecting a third child, they announced on Tuesday (May 18) on both their official websites. The couple has good news after a year of their son’s loss.

“It’s impossible to keep a secret…especially as wonderful as this. We want to be the first to share this great news with everyone that we are expecting a new addition to the family,” reads the post.

The post ends with the family’s sign, “Love, John, Kelly and Ella.”

The Star magazine was the first to report Kelly’s pregnancy, although People magazine was the first to confirm it on Tuesday afternoon, reporting that ‘the family’ told People Kelly is pregnant.

John, 56 and Kelly, 47 are also parents to a ten-year old daughter, Ella Bleu Travolta.

The couple lost their first child, 16-year-old son Jett, due to a “seizure disorder” over New Year’s 2009 in their Bahamas home, where the family was holidaying.

Jett had a history of seizures and reportedly suffered from Kawasaki disease in early childhood. In January 2009, three people were arrested in the Bahamas involved in a multi-million dollar extortion plot against the Travoltas, linking to the circumstances of their son’s death.

The happy news is a welcome relief after just a day of confirmation of two small dogs, owned by the Travoltas, being killed at the Bangor International Airport in Maine.

A representative of the airport said in a statement on Tuesday, “Two small dogs on leashes were taken for walk by someone who is not a family member. An airport service pickup truck was approaching the airplane to service the aircraft and did not see the dogs. Unfortunately the dogs were struck and killed.”

The Pulp Fiction star is an experienced pilot himself, and had just landed his own plane.

John owns five aircrafts and a $4.9 million estate in Jumbolair subdivision in Ocala, Florida, situated on Greystone Airport with its own runway and taxiway extending right up to his front door.

John and Kelly own a home in Islesboro, an island off the coast of Maine. Fellow actors Chris O’Donnell and Kirstie Alley also live there.

John Travolta and Kelly Preston first met met on the sets of The Experts, in 1987. They married in 1991. Two ceremonies were conducted since the first ceremony, conducted in Paris by a French Scientologist minister, was legally invalid. They married a second time a week later in Daytona Beach, Florida.

John Travolta is best known for his roles in Saturday Night Live, Grease, Pulp Fiction, Face/Off, Ladder 49 and Wild Hogs. He has been nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actor for his roles in Saturday Night Live and Pulp Fiction.
