‘Glee’ named winners at the GLAAD Media Awards along with “Drew Barrymore” & “RuPaul” Glee earned a reason to be happy while attending the GLADD Media Awards in Los Angeles. Known for their Fox musical comedy they were one of the other winners during the 21s annual awards. Ryan Murphy received his award for outstanding comedy series at the beautiful Hyatt Regency Century Plaza. Amongst the other winners was the well loved actress Drew Barrymore. Presented the Vanguard Award by “Iron Chef” Cat Cora she gracefully accepted while addressing and commenting on what she views as inspirational gay colleagues including a variety of stylists, doctors, lawyers, and her own agent. Other highlights of the night included Logo’s win for “RuPaul’s Drag Race” and 152 other nominees who won awards which was spreaded out over several different categories. Known for his sparkling charm and performance on “American Idol” Adam Lambert performed later on in the night singing “Fever” and “Music Again”. Aside from awarding many gay or lesbian actors with their awards the overall atmosphere is to present the world to accept and become more open to those who choose to live a different lifestyle than the majority. That to be different is not a bad thing it’s just individuals who choose to do their own thing.
