It is said that marriages are made in heaven. This might not stand true when it comes to celebs, because they just seem to keep confusing the gods. Our singing sensation Mariah Carey was blessed again with marriage bliss, with her ex-beau, also called as Mr. Mariah Carey Nick Canon, for the third time.
After splitting with her ex beau over a personal spat and staying single for months, she was wooed back by Nick Canon to marry him again. The singing sensation with Nick Cannon tied knots for the first time in 2008 in a wedding in Bahamas that left everyone surprised. Cannon who is twenty nine now proposed to Carey, who is forty one years old, about three years ago with a sparkling diamond ring which was hidden inside a Ring Pops wrapper.
This couple seems like it enjoys the idea of marriage, they did it thrice within two years. Nick Canon and Mariah Carey celebrated their second anniversary by getting back together for the third time. They threw a big bash at their Hollywood Hills home and all the stars descended there on that day. While Mariah Carey was clad in a black sparkling dress, her beau, Nick Cannon donned an all-white tuxedo. The two love birds were snapped dancing, kissing and enjoying. They looked as though they never went through a separation. They had one hell of a time together.

This years season has kicked off with a bang with many auditionee’s already hitting the headlines. This week’s show saw auditions kick off with the Chippendoubles. The group of look a likes caused a stir with their surprise audition.

Then we were blown away by Janey Cutler and her amazing singing voice. The 80 year old came on to stage shaky however had the audience on their feet by the end of her performance. That is without the fact that Susan Boyles 2^nd cousin auditioned and impressed the judges with her singing voice.

However the judges weren’t always able to agree on decisions as was shown by their reaction to dance troupe Myztikal. The dance troupe promised something different before their audition and they delivered. As well as smooth dance routines they had some amazing vocals on offer. However it was around half way there their audition that they were stopped because 2 of the singers weren’t up to scratch. The judges were unsure whether this was enough to ruin their chances. Thankfully they decided that constructive criticism was the way forward and they advised them to rethink the singing idea and gave them a chance to go through to the next round.

Auditions are being shown weekly on a Saturday night and so now we just have to wait and see what next week has to offer. As talent shows go, Britain’s Got Talent certainly offers up a variety of great (and not so great!) acts.

Lin Yu-chun has a strong soprano voice and the youtube video of his performance has gone viral since it hit the internet. Everyone across the world is talking about the diamond in the rough with a huge voice that sang Whitney’s song better than she did. Where Lin goes from here is not necessarily clear either, but it is obvious that he has talent and has to go forward from here, if not in the contest, then in the music industry.

Talent shows around the globe are discovering more and more stars every year, and giving people who would never have had the chance to break into the music industry in the past, there own niche and audience.

The question is – Is pop making a come back? If you take a look at the new artists that are starting to get a look in, the answer is a resounding yes.

For example JLS have defied all odds and have become the first successful X factor band. Of course we have the likes of G4 that have attempted it, but they weren’t really pop and they didn’t really set the charts on fire. JLS have taken boy bands back to their roots and shown that pop is still capable of making a dent in the UK charts , and are making a rapid improvement on top music sites !

Of course this follows on from the reunion of Take That which has taken off more than anyone could imagine.

Now we have the likes of Connect on Britain’s Got Talent who this week got the thumbs up from Simon Cowell and the other judges to go through to the next round. The teeny boppers were a very young version of the likes of Westlife and if Facebook is anything to go by they are going to do very well in the competition.

As all of this was going on as the next round of X Factor hopefuls queued up in London for the first round of X Factor auditions.

If that is not enough proof that pop is making a come back then you only have to look at the old boy bands that are making a come back to get a better idea. Duncan James from Blue has announced that the 4 piece boy band aim to have a new album out by the end of the year and 911 currently have a promotion campaign on going for a tour and album for this year too.

Rumors are also rife that James and Matt from Busted intend to reform the band; however Charlie is too busy to commit to the band so they are going to do a reality TV show with auditions to find the replacement. Although no details have been confirmed, fans are already excited by this development. Matt has been quoted on Twitter a few weeks ago saying that Busted had “unfinished business” so it seems a reunion of some sorts is likely.

All of this shows that boy bands and pop music in general is on the come back. If this trend continues that it really won’t be long before we once again have a Top 40 chart filled with pop music.

The unnamed album is slated to be released August of this year, a very short time considering T.I. did not have any time to work on the album while in prison or even create lyrics. With the incredible success of Paper Trail right before being sent to prison, some are wondering if this is the best route for T.I. to take, with the songs potentially only appealing to fans of one genre of music, but you cannot dictate the creative process or your inspirations. At this point though, fans are excitedly awaiting the release of the new album and anything that T.I. is able to create especially with Lil Wayne just having made his own way to prison.

Because of the gap between albums, the regrouping of STP has made it necessary to target an entirely new audience than the band ever has in the past. Its regular fan base has grown up, but the demand for their music has surprisingly stayed the same, so there is some desire to create for the expectations that already exist in order to sell albums.

With Stone Temple Pilot classics getting plenty of air time with radio stations, their music may not be the hottest thing for the younger generation, but the music is still out there where they can find it. Smart marketing by Scott and their record label has also resulted in a lot of licensing deals for television and other venues.

The tour opens up in Seattle, Washington on July, 2nd and closes in Chicago, IL in August, making for a very packed and demanding tour schedule for all involved. With her performance on American Idol and the hit, Rude Boy, Rihanna is back and as big as ever, giving her fans exactly what they are accustomed to expecting from her.

The Last Girl on Earth promises to be a huge production, bigger than anything Rihanna has done before and packed to the maximum with performance after performance. The addition of Keisha and Minaj are sure to bring their own flare to the show, even if everyone is not as excited as Rihanna is to have them on along for the ride.

Singer, M.I.A. is about ready to drop new music, so if you look at it from a popularity standpoint, she is doing everything she can to create buzz and sell her music. On the other hand, many would agree with M.I.A. that Lady Gaga is not as original as she lets on and her music is becoming more and more pop tart, cookie cutter in style. Either way, there are more than enough sound waves for both singers to create great music that is original and can be appreciated by other singers and their fans.

Before hip hop and rap were even mainstream, Bob Dylan was creating music that is reminiscent of the genre, and can even be considered a precursor because of the very distinct beats and sounds that he was creating. Surprisingly, there are even several uses of slang, intricate rhyme schemes and tons of word play found throughout all of his music, which are all things that have made hip hop and rap the distinct music forms that they are.

Dylan might not agree, but there is a lot of hip hop history that Dylan’s own musical career is based in and on. With all of these recent revelations, more and more musicians are taking note and Dylan might even be taking on and recognizing his own part in this genre’s history.
